In the right location, wind power represents the most cost effective renewable energy generation available. The technology is highly developed and robust, the long term energy output predictable and the environmental profile well understood.
At RPS we believe that smaller scale wind projects offer a significant opportunity
that is often undeveloped. These opportunities are particularly relevant when there generation can be used to displace purchased on site electrical loads. In this situation the value of the generation is enhanced and can support the host organisation’s sustainability objectives.

In such situations, we may be able to offer to take all the project related risks of design, planning and implementation in return for an electricity sales contract with the host site. The level of charges in such a contract will normally depend on the wind speed profile of the site and the scale of the development. For larger scale projects, this contract price will typically aim to undercut the purchased electricity price for the site and represents a long term commitment to deep green power.
However, each site is very different and we are interested in discussing projects with a wide range of potential partners and developing technical and contractual solutions that are mutually beneficial.
Whilst we have available the full range of skills to take a project from feasibility to operation, it is not normally our intention to act purely on a consultancy basis.
